In our digital era, a single data breach can have huge consequences for a company’s ability to function and cause disruptions for millions of people worldwide. Our workforce needs cybersecurity specialists, a position that is in high demand and growing in the state of Michigan. In this session, you will learn about Pinckney Community School’s new model for preparing students for careers in IT, which began as an after-school club and has evolved into a statewide, online program for providing students with career-oriented certifications in computer programming, networking, and cybersecurity.
