Information literacy is perhaps more vital now than ever before in our society. With less than 30% of all college freshman (Library Journal, May 2017) prepared to do college-level research, we feel that the ability to navigate the databases in the Michigan eLibrary are crucial to students whose schools cannot afford to purchase these resources on their own. The Knowledge Constructor portion of the MITECS will be the focus of this session. Not only can the navigation of these eResources assist in the development of locating information and research strategies utilizing digital tools, but they can also support students well beyond the walls of the classroom.
